Holiday over – Back in Action

Holiday over, skiing is done,

We are back in action, having had a fabulous week’s skiing.
No ski slope weddings in view though unfortunately!

A Winter Wonderland Wedding….in Spring?

We have had another wedding here at Look Darling. My daughter got married on Saturday, in what we can only describe as ‘A Perfect Winter Wonderland Spring Wedding!’

Yes – unfortunately, when all the spring blooms should have been poking through the ground, and the Spring sun should have been up in the sky, we hit the freakiest snowstorm for 50 years, in March on the Wirral! We never get much snow on the Wirral! We have lived here 21 years now and never seen snow like this, so it had to happen on our daughter’s wedding day!

However – despite it all,and despite a number of guests being unable to make it to the wedding (cars hidden under snow and such like!), we managed to have a wonderful time and my daughter looked absolutely beautiful and radiantly happy.

Dad was extremely proud to show off his beautiful daughter, as you can see on this photo and a very proud mum would like to present a few photos of our very special day – now I need to go in search of a dry cleaner who can tackle the dress whilst Victoria is away on honeymoon -despite it’s beautiful crispy white look, snow is incredibly mucky stuff!

Will catch up with you all soon with our next post! It may be about honeymoons – seems topical.

Victoria is off to Iceland today for her honeymoon – more magical snow adventures!

I would just like to reassure all brides who made enquiries about customisations etc at the Wedding Show last weekend that I have emailed the various manufacturers for answers. I will get back to you independently via email as soon as I get replies.

Thank you for your support at Liverpool Wedding Show

My thanks to all the wonderful brides who visited our stall at the Liverpool Wedding Show last weekend. It was the first show I have attended, so I was rather anxious about the whole affair – but thanks to you it was a great weekend.

It was interesting to hear a few of you comment that you wouldn’t have thought of a tea length dress before seeing them on the catwalk. They move so brilliantly on the bride don’t they?

Thanks to all of you who made an appointment during the weekend, I look forward to meeting you all again over the coming weeks. Here at Look Darling we gaurantee you our full attention by only booking one bride at a time and leaving a good time slot to avoid overlaps. We will devote ourselves to you and hopefully find the dress of your dreams!

I hope we will see you all again at the Wirral Wedding Show on Sunday 3rd March at the Floral Pavilion, New Brighton.

I am delighted to announce that Look Darling has now officially changed hands.

My aim is to continue to provide the same professional service that Emma maintained and in the process have fun providing all my beautiful brides with a dress to compliment their personality in every way.
